Guru Tegh Bahadur was a son of Hargobind whose tercentenary of martyrdom was celebrated throughout the country on the Dedember 6, 1975 was the ninth Guru of Sikhs. He was ordered by Emperor Aurangzeb to embrace Islam; he refused and was executed.
