Limitations of Rutherford Model – There are 3 main limitations of Rutherford model:
(i) The arrangement of electrons in a circular path was not defined.
(ii) His model failed to explain the stability of atoms.
(iii) Any particle that is moving in a circular path would undergo acceleration and radiates energy. Thus, the revolving electron would lose energy and finally fall into the nucleus.
