What is Eccentricity?

Eccentricity is a geometry, it is the number that indicates the shape of a conic section (circle, ellipse, parabola or hyperbola) or it is a ratio used in some definitions of conic sections. A circle has an eccentricity of zero; for an ellipse, it is less than one; for a parabola, it is equal to one; and for a hyperbola, it is greater then one.
