The Reason of Oxides –
(i) Electronegativity of central atom decreases
(ii) Oxidation state of central atom increases
(iii) Ionic compounds conduct electricity in molten state
(iv) Electronegativity of central atom decreases
(v) Stability of oxides of a higher oxidation state, i.e. M₂O₅ decreases with increasing atomic number.
