Generation of EM Waves…
Generation of EM Waves – Electromagnetic radiation is produced whenever a charged particle, such as an electron, changes its velocity – i.e. whenever it is accelerated or decelerated. The energy of the electromagnetic radiation thus produced come from the charged particle and is therefore lost by it.
The equations of time varying (sinusoidal) electric and magnetic fields in mutually perpendicular directions are given by
E = E0 sinω(t – X/C) and B = B0sinω(t – X/C)
