Force Constant (Spring Constant)…

Force Constant (Spring Constant) – We know that, defining equation of SHM is
a = -ω² x, also a = F/m
∴ F/m = – ω² x ⇒ F = -mω²x
⇒ (F = -kx)
k is called spring constant or force constant. Also,
k = mω².
