Flagellated protists…
Flagellated protists are either free-living or parasitic in nature. The main members are Trypanosoma sp. African sleeping sickness is caused by the tsetse fly. Leishmania sp. Kala-azar or Dum-dum fever is caused by sand fly. Giardia sp. Giardiasis causes and Trichomonas vaginalis causes leucorrhoea.
